One of the most important tenets in American culture is our individual mindset. This is typically a term defined as a moral stance of how the single person should have a priority over a collective. It also includes being motivated by your own desires and needs before anything else.
Unfortunately as we have seen throughout modern American history we see that individualism creates wealth disparity, lacking empathy to those struggling and how the collective lacks power to change things. Sadly in America it creates the premise of money being power which runs alongside capitalism.
I feel if America really wants to succeed more in the future they should learn to work together and embrace collective prosperity as I\ve said in other posts. This will create a higher premise of empathy and even education since they can learn to compare findings by discussion .
Individualism is nothing but a tool pushed by the bourgeoisie and aristocrats to destroy workers movements. Our obsession with individualism is leading us to our doom.
