How do I check if my hard drive is failing in Windows 11?

Hey everyone,
Lately, my PC has been acting a bit strange — it's slower than usual, sometimes freezes, and I've noticed a few random file errors. I'm starting to worry that my hard drive might be failing.
I'm running Windows 11, and I'm wondering if there's a reliable way to check the health or status of my hard drive. Are there built-in tools in Windows 11 that I can use? Or do you recommend any trustworthy third-party software for diagnosing potential hard drive issues?
Also, what are some early warning signs I should look out for?
Thanks in advance!

Hey there!  Sounds like a good question.  A slow PC and freezing can definitely be a hard drive issue.  Windows 11 has built-in tools to check the health of your drive.  Go to This PC (or My Computer), right-click on the drive you're concerned about, and choose "roperties".  There should be a tab for "Tools" or "Diagnostics" that can run a check.  If the built-in tools don't give you enough info, there are plenty of free, reliable third-party tools.  Just make sure you download from reputable sources.  Early warning signs are often subtle, like the errors you're seeing.  If it gets worse, definitely back up your important files!
