Got Fined Twice for Riding a Motorbike Without a License in Vietnam — So I Finished All 250 Official Questions (and Built a Free Quiz Site)

After living in Vietnam for over a year, let me start with the hard lessons: I've been stopped by traffic police twice for riding without a license — fines plus my bike impounded. Vietnam requires a local license for anything above 50cc, and an international driver's permit basically doesn't count.

When I started studying for the A1/A test, I found out the theory portion is the 250-question set from the Ministry of Public Security's 2025 regulations. The official PDF is Vietnamese-only, so I had to translate it line by line into Chinese myself — absolutely brutal.

So I turned those 250 questions into a free website, organized into 10 practice sets:

· Tap any Vietnamese word to hear it pronounced + see a 2–4 character Chinese summary (learn traffic rules through Vietnamese and pick up vocabulary along the way)

· Official answers + critical-fail questions (điểm liệt) flagged — the ones where a wrong answer means instant failure get a warning

· 19-minute full mock exam, 25 questions per set, just like the real test

· Works right in your phone or computer browser — no app, no sign-up

The site also has free Vietnamese text-to-speech and a pronunciation chart (29 letters, six tones) if you want to learn Vietnamese: https://td.y1234y.com/

Got questions? Ask me in the thread.
