URGENT SOS: Indians Reportedly Being Tortured at Koe Maa Nee Scam Compound in Myanmar A worker trapped in a scam compound in Myanmar once told NBC News that they were forced to carry out "pig butchering" investment scams targeting Indian Americans. Currently, at the Koe Maa Nee Compound (also known as Bella Park) near the Moei River on the Myanmar-Thailand border, extremely serious reports are emerging: Indian workers are reportedly being forcibly "dismissed" and locked in rooms. Because they are not allowed to leave the rooms, they reportedly have to use a pipe to relieve themselves. Some are reportedly subjected to electric shocks and beatings with sticks/iron pipes. If they fail to bring in new scam clients, they are reportedly severely beaten and forced to do about 400 squats a day until they bring in clients. Some are reportedly being forcibly "fired," but even after being fired, company staff continue to demand money from them. Each person reportedly must pay about 1 million Indian rupees (₹10 lakh) before being allowed to leave. Reported boss/alias: Lee Boss Compound: Koe Maa Nee Compound / Bella Park Location: Myanmar-Thailand border, near the Moei River If a person has already been "fired" yet is still being held and must pay 1 million Indian rupees to leave, then this is not a normal dismissal — it is a serious allegation of coercive control and extortion. If these allegations are true, they may involve unlawful detention, torture, forced labor, and extortion. We urgently appeal to the Indian government, the Indian embassy, law enforcement agencies, international human rights organizations, and the media to immediately pay attention to and verify the situation at the Koe Maa Nee compound, and to identify and rescue those still trapped inside. Please do not ignore Koe Maa Nee. The people inside urgently need help.
