China's Central Bank to Launch Swap Facility Operations for Securities, Fund and Insurance Companies on Tuesday

China's central bank will conduct swap facility operations for securities, fund and insurance companies on Tuesday (November 3).

So far, 31 securities and fund companies have submitted requests, with the applied amount exceeding 100 billion yuan (RMB, same below; S$19.2 billion).

According to CCTV News, the People's Bank of China announced on Monday (November 2) that, to support the healthy and stable development of the capital market, it will conduct swap facility operations for securities, fund and insurance companies on Tuesday, with a one-year swap term that can be extended as appropriate.

Currently, 31 securities and fund companies have submitted requests, with the applied amount exceeding 100 billion yuan.

Previously, the People's Bank of China conducted swap facility operations for securities, fund and insurance companies in October 2024, and completed the tender for the second operation in January last year.
