Family of 3 visiting the US, need to book 2 rooms or 1 suite per night

Account has 140k Hyatt points. No Marriott card, no points. Hilton Diamond + 800k points, Aspire

First option: Hyatt Regency at 8k per room, 2.2 ccp, so 16k per night for 2 rooms

Second option: Marriott Residence Inn suite at $226 per night, room type is quite good

Third option: Hilton suite at $300 per night, not worth using points

Staying 5 days, looking for recommendations

Hyatt

Marriott

Hilton

Actually, you don't necessarily have to pick just one of the three—you could also stay a few days at each of two hotels. If your family needs time to adjust to the time difference or your itinerary is split into two parts, switching hotels once can actually be more flexible.

I'd prioritize the Hyatt option: two rooms for five nights comes to 80k points total, which by your valuation makes it the best value among these choices—and there's no better use for those points anyway. The Marriott at $226 and the Hilton at $300 are both cash outlays, and over five days that difference adds up.

Mainly, we'd like to know whether the two rooms can be on the same floor. Three family members will be staying in the two rooms, and it would be inconvenient if they're too far apart.

How many bedrooms and beds exactly does the suite at the Residence Inn have? With three people, there's a big difference in comfort between a suite and two separate rooms, so I need to clarify this first.

Actually, I don't think you necessarily need to save those 800,000 Hilton points. If the cash rate for a suite is $300, five nights would be $1,500. By point value, that may not be a bad deal—you just need to confirm the redemption ratio and whether there's a minimum-stay requirement. I'd suggest first listing the total cost of five nights at all three hotels—including both the points valuation and the cash price—in one table before comparing.
