Newbie here—are there really this few Hilton Aspire Resort Credit hotel options?

I just applied for the Hilton Aspire card, and I happen to be heading back to China, so I wanted to use the $200 credit for the first and second half of the year—only to find there are just a handful of eligible hotels. Am I misreading something? Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Another question: I haven't spent a single dollar yet, but my account already shows over 30,000 points in hotel credit. Is that a Free Night Award? Sorry if this is a dumb question—thanks in advance for any help.

Not necessarily fewer in all regions—there may be more options in China and Southeast Asia.

You said you already have over thirty thousand points without spending anything—is that a sign-up bonus or points from spending? You'd better check your statement details first.

Before you book, I'd suggest logging into the Hilton official website and filtering by the Resort category to confirm the list, since the co-branded card benefits page may be out of date. If your trip back home is already set, double-check whether your destination city is on the list so you don't end up waiting for nothing.

Check the official website list first—don't just trust what the app shows.

The biggest hassle with using this $200 credit back home is that there are so few designated hotels—you might have to go out of your way just to stay at one, so whether it's worth it depends on how much of a detour it is.
