(Mystery Solved) Amex Consecutive Upgrades Are Still Alive

As the title says, I've had the HILTON no-fee card for almost two years, opened in early November 2024.

Three days ago I used the method from that other thread to upgrade to the SUP, and then today I first removed all my ASPIRE cards and tried to upgrade to ASPIRE via LINK, and it just showed SORRY...

Then I contacted WEB customer service, and they sent me a LINK. Clicking it showed the following.

UPGRADE isn't a LINK so I can't click it, and after clicking LEARN MORE it just does this again.

When I checked VIEW ALL CARD myself, it only showed this too.

Another strange thing: the image above says YOUR CARD, which means I have this card, but right now all the ASPIRE cards in my account have been removed and there are only two SUPs.

Customer service told me to call the number on the back of the card. After I called just now, the rep said I upgraded 3 days ago, so the next upgrade has to wait 50 days. I told him I've held the card for almost two years, is this restriction newly added? I've never heard of this restriction—the only restriction has always been that you can't PC before holding the card for a full year. He looked into it for a long time and told me to try again in early December, that there was no other way. Is this the rep making things up, or is this route dead?

Also, I've never gotten the upgrade 2FN bonus. Is it too late to upgrade in December? (Or does it have to be around November 1st, before the two-year mark—the so-called -23 days? Last year I missed it and didn't upgrade.)

First, let me confirm: after you canceled the Aspire, how many Hilton cards are left in your account? That directly affects whether you can do consecutive upgrades.

It's best to get written confirmation from customer service about this "try again in 50 days" claim—otherwise, if you call back in December, they may give you a completely different story. I'd suggest keeping the reference number from this conversation.

Look at it from another angle—the problem may not be that "连升" is still active, but that you upgraded to SUP just three days ago, and the system enforces a cooling-off period for consecutive product changes on the same card. The -23-day window is tied to the anniversary date and is a separate matter from this upgrade. Wait for the cooling-off period to pass before trying again, and don't keep clicking repeatedly before early December, as that can easily trigger a risk-control flag.

You opened the card in November 2024—has it been two full years yet? That's the first thing we need to pin down.

I'm not convinced a December upgrade will still qualify for the 2FN. Upgrade bonuses are usually tied to the offer's validity window—you can't just upgrade whenever you like and expect to get it, and a verbal assurance from customer service doesn't count. To be safe, first confirm whether there's currently a valid upgrade offer, then work backward from there.
