A shocking scandal has erupted in Thailand's Buddhist community, stunning the entire nation! The 66-year-old renowned abbot of Wat Phutthaisawan, an ancient royal temple in Ayutthaya with a thousand-year history, "Luang Por Chot," was arrested by police early this morning on suspicion of misappropriating as much as 92 million baht (equivalent to tens of millions of yuan) in temple donations and transferring the funds to an intimate female devotee.

What is even more shocking is that when police reviewed surveillance footage from his monastic cell, they unexpectedly discovered a large amount of extremely explicit footage of him breaking the precepts—the abbot had openly engaged in sexual acts with the female devotee directly on the altar table where devotees routinely placed offerings and vegetarian meals!

At around 6 a.m. today (the 10th), Thailand's Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), together with the Crime Suppression Division (CSD), dispatched a large number of police officers to raid the temple. Preliminary police investigations show that the abbot is suspected of issuing more than 20 false temple receipts on his own and frequently transferring 92 million baht in donations that belonged to the temple into the personal account of his intimate female patron, allegedly committing serious embezzlement and money laundering.

However, during the search, the most outrageous and explosive inside story then came to light. When law enforcement officers examined the surveillance recordings inside the abbot's monastic cell, they found that this eminent monk, usually revered by the masses, had not only behaved extremely intimately and ambiguously with the woman in private, but had even openly broken the precepts multiple times inside the monastic cell.

Even more absurdly, the video clearly recorded the two treating the altar table—which devotees, out of piety, normally used to "offer vegetarian meals and offerings"—as a place for sexual intercourse, having sex on the table without any regard for others.
