CCTV did not broadcast this round of La Liga matches

CCTV did not broadcast this round of Spanish La Liga matches due to remarks about China by Real Madrid superstar Mbappé.

Multiple matches of La Liga's 11th round were held from Saturday evening (October 31) to early Sunday morning (November 1) Singapore time, including matches featuring strong teams such as Barcelona and Atlético Madrid.

A check of CCTV.com's program schedule shows that during this period, CCTV broadcast matches from the Premier League, Serie A, and Bundesliga, but did not air any La Liga match.

After the controversy over French star Mbappé's China-related remarks intensified, relevant parties at China Media Group confirmed that, in response to Mbappé's serious negative conduct involving China, CCTV has since October 26 fully suspended broadcasts of La Liga and Mbappé-related matches, and all advertisements involving Mbappé have also been taken down.
