A Star Kid's Stage Debut: Guitar Accompaniment Stuns the Audience Morton Cheung (Mo Tung), the 19-year-old son of Julian Cheung and Anita Yuen, recently made a low-key appearance at the Shanghai stop of his father's solo tour, hidden among the band as a guitarist.

It was his first appearance in a public performance, and his focused playing on the electric guitar looked quite professional—his calm stage presence gave no hint that it was his debut.

During the show, even when a guitar string broke, he handled it calmly, earning recognition from the team.

It is said that he secured the role by passing the music director's assessment, not through his parents' connections.

Tiffany Chen Spills: Giving Up University for Music Tiffany Chen recently spoke about Mo Tung on a mainland program, revealing that he decided to give up the opportunity to attend university in order to focus on self-taught music.

She described raising children as like "opening a blind box"—the path ahead is hard to fully control.

Tiffany Chen revealed that Mo Tung believes he can hone his musical skills through self-study, and even told his parents: "Dad, when you hold a concert, I can go up and play guitar," and asked, "Why should I go to university?" These remarks immediately sparked heated discussion online about the educational choices of celebrity second-generation kids.

Parents Once Disagreed, Ultimately Respected Their Son's Choice Faced with their son's decision not to attend university, Anita Yuen and Julian Cheung initially held different views.

According to Tiffany Chen, Anita Yuen originally hoped their son would first complete his university studies and build a broader foundation, while Julian Cheung took a more open attitude, believing that "traveling ten thousand miles beats reading ten thousand books." After communication, the two ultimately reached a consensus to respect their son's wishes.

Anita Yuen had also expressed in past interviews a cautious attitude toward her son entering the industry, emphasizing that it requires many conditions and candidly admitting that the industry is quite tough.

Mo Tung's Low-Key Internship and Musical Dream In fact, Mo Tung's interest in and dedication to music had long been evident.

Before going to study in the UK, he interned at Hunan TV, participating in the production team of "Singer 2025," handling basic tasks such as moving props.

Fellow interns and staff revealed that Mo Tung is very passionate about music in private, possesses talent, and even tries writing his own songs.

During his studies in the UK, he also occasionally shared short videos on social media of jamming with friends and arranging music, showing that music had long been part of his life.
