Continue to Love Concert Concludes Successfully, Stars Sing Together Across Space to Pay Tribute to Leslie Cheung

Last night (the 12th), the "Continue to Love・Leslie Cheung 70th Birthday・Concert" held at West Kowloon Bamboo Grove Park was successfully completed, with a full house.

More than ten performing guests including Karen Mok, Sam Hui, Kenny Bee, and Ian Chan, carrying deep feelings for Leslie Cheung, celebrated the 70th birthday of this generation-defining superstar together with fans on site through a series of classic songs.

Stars Share Their Fate with Gor Gor At the concert, multiple singers shared their moments with Leslie Cheung.

Karen Mok recalled that 49 years ago, when she was only 6 or 7 years old and serving as a little flower girl, she personally witnessed Leslie Cheung's performance in the Asian Singing Competition and became his loyal fan ever since.

She also revealed that Leslie Cheung treated her like a niece and instructed her to call him "Uncle Leslie." Patrick Tam recalled having only met Leslie Cheung once, but the encouraging words the other party gave him back then had always been a spiritual pillar on his performing path.

New Interpretations of Classic Songs The singers took turns performing many of Leslie Cheung's classic works.

Adia Chan sang "Starting from Zero" accompanied by Wong Lok Yin's violin; Wong Lok Yin, Fung Hei Sit, Yan Man Fong, and Ngan Mai Gou respectively performed "A Person with Heart," "Fire of Love," "Glass Affection," and "Missing You." William So and Elisa Chan sang "Who Made Your Heart Foolish" together, while Michael Tse chose "I," composed by Leslie Cheung.

Every singer conveyed their remembrance of this late superstar through music.

Finale Duet Across Space and Drone Tribute Sam Hui, appearing as the finale, sang and played "Silence Is Golden" himself, while the on-site large screen simultaneously played footage of Leslie Cheung's past performances, creating a touching scene of the two singing together across space.

Close to 9:12 p.m., 1,956 drones slowly rose from the sea and successfully presented multiple iconic Leslie Cheung-related patterns in the night sky, lasting 9 minutes and 12 seconds.

Organizer Florence Chan said this segment was full of challenges and thanked all parties for their cooperation in making the concept possible, hoping to leave beautiful memories for fans.

Passing the Torch Across Generations The concert not only gathered close friends from Leslie Cheung's era, but also included new-generation singers.

Ian Chan admitted that although he never had the chance to know Leslie Cheung, he grew up watching his movies and regarded him as a role model in the industry, hoping to pass on this classic legacy.

Kenny Bee's daughter Chung Yi performed the new song "70 Leslie with Love," created for this birthday, with lyrics cleverly incorporating the titles of many Leslie Cheung works, symbolizing the continuation of a classic.
