Planning to get a backup phone. Right now I'm considering buying a 13 Pro Max in the US, since it's the last generation with a physical SIM card slot.
But if I buy a phone back in China, there are obviously way more options.
Based on previous DP from the forum, Amex doesn't care whether your phone is old stock or secondhand.
However, although there have been DP cases for phones bought in China too, it seems like you have to go back to China to get a warranty repair slip every time? In other words, there's no way to do it in the US?

Are you planning to use the backup phone long-term in the US, or will you be splitting time between there and elsewhere? That will affect how you choose the SIM slot setup and warranty.
