Bilt Palladium Denied Multiple Times, Now EX FICO 770+, Seeking Reapplication Advice and DP on Resolving Identity Verification Failures
1 day ago
I'd like to ask anyone who has experience with multiple Bilt / Cardless denials followed by a successful approval.
I've been wanting to apply for the Bilt Palladium, but I've tried several rounds this year and still haven't succeeded. My Experian FICO has now risen to 770+, so I want to see whether it's worth trying again when the next application window opens.
First, here's my application history, all my own:
November 2025: Applied for the old WF Bilt, denied.
February 2026: Palladium pre-approval denied, score was 692 at the time.
March 2026: Denied again, 712.
May 2026: Denied again, 714.
July 2026: Denied again, 718.
August 2026: Denied again, 718; this time it got to the identity verification step.
October 2026: Most recent denial, and the reason changed to "We couldn't verify your identity information."
Previous denial letters also cited reasons like too many recent new accounts, too many inquiries, and a short credit history. My card-opening pace was indeed quite dense before, so I know it's not just about the credit score.
Right now I'm mainly torn between two questions: first, my score has risen from the previous 690–710s to 770+, is that enough to improve the outcome of my next application; second, the most recent one turned into an identity verification failure, and I don't know whether this issue will keep blocking me—it's really a separate matter from the credit score.
I've read some similar threads on the forum—some people were also repeatedly denied, or were only offered Blue / Obsidian, and later ran into identity verification errors too, so it's hard to judge exactly which step I'm stuck at.
I'd like to ask everyone:
Has anyone had DP of being continuously denied before, then after nurturing their profile for a while and raising their score, successfully getting approved for the Palladium? What conditions did you mainly improve at the time?
For those who encountered this identity verification error, how did you resolve it later? Did making your name, address, and other information exactly match Experian help, or did you need to contact Cardless to handle it?
Given my current situation, is there hope if I try again after the next window opens, or would you recommend nurturing it for a while longer before applying?
I know no one can accurately predict approval outcomes; I mainly want to hear real DPs from similar backgrounds so I don't keep applying blindly. Thanks everyone!
Authentication failure has nothing to do with the score—that's the first thing you need to get straight.
