How do I change the EMS delivery address with VFS after my US visa interview in China?

I prepaid 150 to book EMS premium delivery through the VFS website for my US visa.

Now, for personal reasons, I need to change the address. I couldn't find any instructions on how to change it, and there's no VFS China US visa customer service number I can call.

Has anyone here changed it before?

One DP says you can place another order with the same UID and then request a refund for the original order, but that way one UID would be linked to two delivery addresses in the system. When it actually ships, how would the system know which one to send it to?

The key is whether your passport has actually reached the embassy—once the visa is already stamped, changing your address is likely just wasted effort.

Having two orders under the same UID with both the old and new addresses on file is a real risk. The system will most likely go by the earliest order or payment record, and a refund order won't necessarily override the original shipping details. If something goes wrong at the delivery stage, fixing it will be more of a hassle than dealing with it now. It's best to wait until the first order is fully closed before placing a new one.

When you mentioned placing another order with the same UID and then returning the original order, was that done after the visa interview? Could you share what status the original order is currently in—confirmed, processing, or not yet assigned a waybill? That determines whether it can still be changed.

Maybe we should think about it the other way around: first confirm where the passport is in the process, then talk about the address.

I'd like to ask whether the visa application location affects the process of changing the address—for example, is the VFS procedure the same for passports issued in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou? Also, did the email you used for payment ever receive an order confirmation, and did it mention a way to change the address or a contact channel?
