New to C1, asking about how well C1 Offers stack with other rewards

Just opened a C1 credit card. This morning I opened the app and saw I was targeted for a huge 40% off today-only deal on a skincare brand my wife (LD) wants, and after reading around the forum I learned this is probably what's called C1O? (The section in the app is called "Activate shopping offer")

Quick question: if I go straight into Chrome on my phone and buy, will C1O still track it? My wife insists I apply an external code to get more cosmetics gift bundles, but I'm worried that, like with Rakuten, C1 will later say it's ineligible, so I don't dare use it and wanted to ask.

I checked and it seems that if you go through this C1 app offer link to buy, it will trigger even if you pay with a Chase card, right? Thanks for the guidance
