The job is simple: you'll take care of the employer's daily life and stay by their side. No long-distance travel required. You'll usually help the employer with some everyday matters. Salary: 6,000–9,000. Long-term and stable. Male or female, no preference. The employer is a healthy person, so please don't misunderstand. Specifics to be discussed in person.

This job posting seems a bit vague, especially since the working hours and specific responsibilities aren't clearly stated. It would be best to add roughly how many hours a day the job requires, and whether live-in arrangements are needed, so it's easier to judge.

Phone was the only way to get in touch, and it wasn't made clear which area the employer lives in or whether commuting would be an issue. Also, there was no mention of what the life assistant would actually be doing—things like cooking, cleaning, or accompanying the employer to medical appointments. If driving or nighttime help is involved, that should be spelled out in advance.

The salary range is quite broad—specifics are negotiable in person—but unclear boundaries of responsibility can easily lead to disputes.

These days, many families hire a personal assistant thinking the job will be simple at first, but then the list of odd tasks keeps growing. If there's no contract or no clear agreement about what's off-limits, it's easy to end up doing everything. You can start by asking exactly what the fixed daily tasks are and how emergencies are handled.

Is this position live-in or a daily commute? If it's live-in, how is time off arranged, and is there a private room and bathroom? Also, how is the 6,000 to 9,000 determined—is it based on experience or on daily working hours? These directly affect actual take-home pay and how much energy it takes out of you.

Before you call, ask clearly whether a contract will be signed and whether there is a probation period.
