[HP] Suddenly Discovered the Malfoid Topic

Gender-bent Draco isn't exactly a new trope, but its rise in popularity probably has something to do with how widely available animation tools have become.

Ever since AI animation took off, the output of gender-bent fan works has really shot up. Still, whether it's actually shippable comes down to whether the character dynamics capture that awkward tension from the original.

Look at it from another angle—the name "Malfoid" is interesting in itself. It mashes up "Malfoy" and "droid," hinting at something mechanical or non-human. It might not just be a simple gender swap; there could be a touch of cybernetic modification in there too. If you just read it as an ordinary gender swap, you're actually narrowing it down.

When you actually start working on it, it's easy to get the character's personality wrong—don't just focus on their appearance.
