In October, I received a charge notice for 219 + Washington state sales tax (the charges from last year and two months ago didn't include tax), yet the credit card only reimbursed 219.
Clear+ won't let Washington residents with a green card sign up, and the reimbursement means paying the tax out of pocket. I've never seen a business operate like this.

Is this tax deduction only for Washington state residents, or are all states starting to charge it? From what I remember, Clear+ pricing is usually the same across states, but the tax may be calculated based on the billing address. Also, do the credit card reimbursement terms say "excluding taxes" or "based on the net amount"? If you can screenshot the charges on your bill and the credit card reimbursement explanation, everyone can help you see whether Clear changed its rules or the card issuer changed.
