How can I get the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless free night award from the sign-up bonus a bit earlier?

I opened the card on 9/19, and it now shows my statement date is 11/15. If I complete the sign-up bonus spend now, do I have to wait until after 11/15 at the earliest?
