Is it reliable to buy a Rolex on Jomashop?

Has anyone here bought a Rolex on Jomashop? I heard it doesn't come with a certificate, but the watch should be genuine. Still, since it's a watch costing over ten thousand dollars, I'm a bit hesitant—worried I might get a fake. Has any forum member bought a Rolex there? Thanks

When you say the watch "should be genuine," what sources did you base that on exactly? Was it feedback from other people in forums who bought one, or Jomashop's own description? Because the lack of a certificate is a key issue—if you later want to resell it or get warranty service, you may need to confirm whether the official brand will recognize this watch. Also, have you asked customer service whether they can provide the original manufacturer's warranty card or a serial number lookup? If none of that is available, how do you plan to verify authenticity—for example, having a third party open the caseback, or going through Rolex service?

If you decide to buy, first confirm whether you're okay with no original certificate and possibly no official warranty, then consider paying by credit card and keeping records of all communication. If resale value or warranty matters to you, stay away.

The risk with a Rolex without papers lies in warranty and resale, not in it being fake.
