Could you tell me which city in North Rhine-Westphalia this warehouse is specifically located in? The reason I ask is that transportation subsidies and commute times vary quite a bit between different areas—for example, the Ruhr region and the area around Münster are quite different. Also, when you say Chinese-English communication, do you mean everyday communication or handling documents and systems? Among Chinese people with German status, some may not be great at German but are very good at English, so I'd like to confirm what the actual language requirements are in the work setting.

Next to Herten, the transport allowance can be up to €350 per month. Basic conversational English is all you need.

Two days off plus annual leave is pretty solid for a warehouse role. Could you share more about the schedule—is it a fixed morning shift or a rotating shift?

For the first six months, it will be day shift only; after that, there will be both day and night shifts.

I understand listing the salary as "open to discussion," but is there a rough range or some correlation with experience? After all, warehouse worker pay in North Rhine-Westphalia varies quite a bit, so having a reference point would help everyone get a clearer picture.

Judging by the roles they've set up—one person each for receiving and shipping, plus a sorting supervisor and assistant supervisor—this warehouse probably isn't especially small. It must have at least a basic sorting team. The job posting specifically stresses the need for legal status in Germany, which is actually pretty important in real-world hiring, since warehouse roles sometimes attract applicants without full documentation. Communication in both Chinese and English, with German as a plus, suggests English is likely used most day to day, while German mainly helps with local colleagues or the systems.

If you don't have a work visa but meet all the other requirements, it's best to ask upfront whether they can help you get one rather than giving up right away.

Eight-hour days with two days off and a transport allowance sounds good, but if the warehouse is in a remote location, commuting costs and time could eat up a fair chunk of that allowance. In North Rhine-Westphalia in particular, some logistics parks are out in the suburbs, and if you don't have a car, buses run infrequently—so it's best to ask about this upfront.

I'd like to kindly clarify a couple of things: WeChat lists "SttChristian" — can I add this ID by searching it directly, or do I need to get in touch through some other means first? Also, what exactly does "can communicate in Chinese and English" mean in practice — for example, is it enough to read English picking slips and have basic communication with coworkers, or does it require handling customer complaints over the phone? Looked at another way, if the job is mainly physical work plus simple instructions, then the language bar isn't really that high, and the post could make that clearer.

You can add them by searching for their ID directly. Both Chinese and English can be used for everyday work communication (between colleagues).
