Wouldn't a cyborg still be part human? And while I get what you are saying, (give it fingers/a body to do the work) I am still not convinced it could do the job. It could run the tests and diagnose a problem, and even repair sometimes. But if it were to try and repair something, and accidentally break it due to water damage, I don't think it would know or react quick enough.
